The 100 Day Project: Week 5

Hey y’all! We’re up to Week 5 of this project and as we get deeper into this, I’ve gotten a lot bolder. I haven’t even been staying on a set theme at this point. I usually just flip through magazines and cut out things that I think will work together or that inspire me. I’ve been growing a lot in my style and I love getting inspiration from Jordan E. Clark and @thejournalbean. They both make amazing journal spreads.

Day 29

This one was so much fun to do. I really wanted to experiment with some of the things I’ve seen online and with the resources I had. I love how it turned out.

Day 30

I spent HOURS on this one. I did it on Sunday morning and this was definitely the vibe I was getting from my local church and the Transformation Church services that week.

Day 31

More experimenting and as you can see, I really love these white gel pens. My favorite one to use is the .8 so I’m definitely glad I got the three pack.

Day 32

I’ve been wanting to use this picture I cut out of a Vogue magazine for a while. I really like the vibe it gives off and I tried to incorporate that vibe into this collage. There’s some major art journal influence in this one.

Day 33

Honestly didn’t know what to do this day so I tried going simple and finding a background image to play around with. Most of these are from Veranda magazines. If y’all saw how many random magazines I have at home, you’d think I was hoarding them.

Day 34

These jeans though! I got the idea from Brianna Collins, aka Journalbean. She plays around with this technique a lot and I’ve been wanting to try it since I first saw it. I got the idea to add a poem from Jordan Clark. This piece is just a big pot of inspiration brought to the page.

Day 35

Didn’t know what I was doing this day and I only had an hour to do it so this was a major freestyle. I got the idea for the background from the Triangles theme I did a few weeks ago. Then I found this picture of Serena Williams in Allure and it really fit the vibe.

Are you doing a 100 Day Project?

What do you think of these pieces?

Which one is your favorite?

Some may call me a critic, but then again, everyone's a critic. This blog is dedicated to my reviews, whether they be book reviews, movie reviews, product reviews, or all the reviews. Did I say reviews enough?
